Stormforge playtest & Demo Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 27, 2026

This notice supplements the Roboto Games Privacy Policy (robotogames.com/privacy). It covers every free playtest, beta, and demo version of Stormforge on Steam ("Test Versions"). Where this notice differs from the company policy for Test Versions, this notice applies.

WHAT THE GAME COLLECTS WHILE YOU PLAY

  • Gameplay analytics: game events (such as crafting, combat, building, and storms), session start and length, features used, progress, and settings.

  • Technical data: operating system, device model, CPU, GPU, system and video memory, graphics API, and performance metrics.

  • Identifiers: your Epic Online Services account ID (used to sign you in and match you with other players) and your Steam identity; your country (from a two-letter country code; we do not collect your precise location).

  • Crash and error logs. • Multiplayer basics: your player name and in-game interactions with others.

WHERE IT GOES

Analytics and crash data are stored in Google Cloud (BigQuery) under Roboto's control. Sign-in and matchmaking run on Epic Online Services. Access to playtests and demos runs entirely through Steam, under Valve's own privacy policy. We do NOT sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

YOUR CHOICES

Playtests and demos exist to gather gameplay data, so telemetry is on while you play. For access, deletion, or other privacy requests, contact support@robotogames.com.

AGE

Test Versions are for players 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has participated, contact support@robotogames.com and we will delete their data.

DATA RETENTION

Telemetry from Test Versions is kept for 24 months and then deleted or aggregated. Feedback and survey responses may be kept for the life of the project.

CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE

We may update this notice from time to time. If we make material changes, we will give prominent advance notice, such as a Steam announcement or an update to this page with a new effective date, before the changes take effect. If you keep playing after the effective date, the updated notice applies to you.
